Daves On Soccer

As if to reinforce the oft made point that there are no easy games anymore at the higher levels of international soccer, today's games in AFC Qualifying Group B produced two notable upsets.

Iran 2 - 1 Japan
North Korea 1 - 2 Bahrain

Japan is still the favorite, but it looks like they will to work very hard to win the group and reach the World Cup in Germany. Bahrain, on the other hand, continue to improve and impress. Looks like their fourth place finish in the 2004 Asian Cup was no fluke.
